As part of your treatment to assist you in getting healthy from the inside out, Dr. Pierotti may recommend Micro-Nutrient Infusion Therapy.
Micro-Nutrient Infusion Therapy or “MNiT Therapy” is an effective means of providing vital nutrients to the body at a cellular level. John Myers, MD, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland, pioneered the use of intravenous (IV) vitamins and minerals as part of the overall treatment of various medical problems.
MNiT Therapies can be beneficial adjunct therapy in treating a wide range of clinical conditions and will often produce dramatic results. Chronic problems such as fatigue, depression, and migraines have been well controlled by these treatments. Other conditions that frequently respond to therapy include asthma attacks, Fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, brain fog, chronic sinusitis, and seasonal allergic rhinitis.
What is in a MNiT Formula?
Only the highest pharmaceutical grade of nutritional injectables is used in our special formulas. The vitamins, minerals, and nutrients contained in a MNiT formula are identical to the natural substances your cells produce when they are healthy, and are required to function properly. Vitamin C, various B vitamins, Magnesium, and the potent antioxidant, Glutithione are some of the valuable ingredients in your MNiT formulations.
What Types of MNiT Therapies Can I Have and What Should I Expect?
The Anti-Aging & Longevity Center offers several different types of MNiT Therapy formulas to address a broad range of problems associated with hormonal and nutritional deficiencies including our Mitochondrial MNiT for increased energy, and a Memory MNiT to relieve brain fog. Other MNiTs include our Migraine, Immune Booster, Post-Surgical Healing, and Pain Ease formulas. These solutions are aseptically prepared immediately before administration. Your AVC nurse will insert a small sterile catheter directly into a vein usually located in the forearm. In as little as 45-60 minutes the solution is infused directly into your bloodstream delivering the nutrients exactly where they are most needed, to the cells.
On occasion, some patients may experience head and body aches that resemble flu like symptoms for up to a day or so after receiving a MNiT therapy. If this happens, do not worry. This phenomenon is associated with a process called Detoxification. As your cells receive the nutrition they need, they get “jump started” or “turned on” and begin pushing accumulated waste products and toxins out of the cell and into the bloodstream. As with other waste, it is then excreted from the body. The bad news is you may feel “out of sorts” for a short time. The good news is unwanted waste and toxins are eliminated from your body leaving you more energized and healthier than before. Other patients may experience immediate results and experience unusually high levels of energy, stamina, and focus.
Why Get an IV When I Can Take a Nutritional Supplement by Mouth?
There are several different ways nutrition can enter the body. The best way is to eat a healthy diet that is high in the essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients needed to maintain optimal health. Unfortunately, the average diet is far from perfect and many of us do not eat enough of the minimum RDA for average health in a week, not to mention a day! Additionally, unless a person is eating a diet with lots of organic fruits and vegetables that are untouched by acid rain, they are most likely consuming produce grown in soils that are depleted of valuable vitamins and minerals, affected by acid rain, and treated with pesticides. To make matters even worse, chronic stress, high sugar intake, caffeine, infections, antibiotics, inadequate nutritional intake and/or poor nutritional intake causes many of us suffer with a poorly functioning digestive track. We recognize it as a problem when we experience abdominal pain, distention, bloating, gas, and general abdominal discomfort. Consequently, a significant part of what we ingest by mouth ends up passing through our gut without being absorbed. Until our digestive health is restored, the next most effective way to get nutrients directly to the cells is to administer the nutrition via intravenous administration method (IV).
